Pittsburgh Steelers rookie offensive tackle Max Iheanachor had more than $150,000 worth of merchandise stolen from his home in a burglary that occurred on August 26. The incident took place in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The stolen items reportedly included jewelry and designer handbags, with the total value estimated to be between $150,000 and $250,000. A rock was used to damage a window, allowing entry into the residence. No arrests have been made in connection with the burglary.

Iheanachor, who was the Steelers' first-round draft pick at 21st overall this year, is currently listed as the team's No. 2 right tackle. He played college football at Eastern Los Angeles College and Arizona State, earning an All-Big 12 Second Team selection in 2025. The Steelers are set to host the Falcons on Sunday for their Week 1 game.

The burglary of Iheanachor's home follows a trend of recent years where several high-profile athletes, particularly NFL players, have been targeted in home break-ins. Notable victims have included Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and NBA player Bobby Portis. These incidents are believed by some authorities to be connected to an alleged ring targeting athletes' homes. Two Chilean nationals suspected of involvement in similar burglaries were arrested in Argentina earlier this year and are sought for extradition to the United States.
