Social media influencer Joshua Kravchenko spent five hours in jail after orchestrating a pitch invasion during the World Cup match between Belgium and Senegal in Seattle. Kravchenko, who boasts over 150,000 Instagram followers, along with three companions, jumped over barriers and halted the game for several minutes.

While Kravchenko was apprehended by security before reaching the field of play, his friends made it onto the pitch. Security personnel tackled the individuals, with one managing to evade capture for a period before being brought down. Kravchenko later shared a photo of his apprehension on social media with the caption, "Straight to jail for five hours."

The group, all wearing Belgium shirts, are understood to be American citizens supporting the European team. It is anticipated that FIFA and Lumen Field will impose lengthy bans on the individuals, though this remains unconfirmed.

Kravchenko had previously gained attention over a decade ago for a Vine video featuring a scooter trick, which garnered over 42 million views. The motive for the pitch invasion is unclear, but at least two of the individuals appeared to be wearing t-shirts promoting a betting company. Another individual in the group wore a shirt that read, "Asians can too."

The disruption occurred while Senegal was leading 1-0. Despite the stoppage, the match proceeded to be a notable contest, with Belgium mounting a comeback from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 in extra time. Belgium is now set to face the United States in the next round, with that match also scheduled to be held in Seattle.
