Skechers Celebrates Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or Win with Limited-Edition Gold Cleats
The footwear company released 73 pairs of custom cleats, mirroring Kane's goal tally for the season, to honor his achievement.
Skechers has released a limited-edition collaboration with soccer star Harry Kane, commemorating his recent Ballon d'Or victory. The company gifted Kane a unique pair of SKX_2 Elite “Mark of Greatness” cleats, adorned with gold leaf, and a personalized gold signet ring. This bespoke collection celebrates Kane's achievement as the first English player in 25 years to win the prestigious award.
The release of 73 pairs of the limited-edition SKX_2 Elite “Mark of Greatness” boots, priced at $225, coincided with Kane's Ballon d'Or win. The number of pairs directly corresponds to the 73 goals Kane scored across all competitions in the 2025/26 season. Available on Soccer.com, the cleats feature golden detailing on the Skechers “S” logo and a gold-colored soleplate. Each pair comes with a collector’s publication detailing Kane’s season.
Kane, who has been a Skechers athlete since 2023, expressed his gratitude. "Winning the Ballon d’Or after such a memorable year of goals, trophies and special milestones was an incredible honor, and to receive this award in my hometown made it even more special," Kane stated. "Having Skechers design a bespoke boot to mark this achievement makes it even more special. I’m looking forward to wearing them on the pitch."
Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, highlighted Kane's attributes, stating, “When the world’s greatest wears Skechers, it’s all the evidence athletes at any level need to know that our footwear will deliver wherever and however they play.”
The personalized signet ring, crafted by Deakin & Francis, England's oldest family-run manufacturing jeweler, is etched with an English lion holding a key, the number 73, and Kane's initials. The ring also features in a new Skechers campaign film titled "Mark of Greatness."
The Ballon d'Or is widely considered the world's most prestigious individual soccer award, recognizing the best player globally. Winners are selected by an international panel of 100 journalists from the top 100 FIFA-ranked nations. Kane also received the Striker of the Year award.
