Khris Middleton has been acquired by the Washington Wizards in a massive six-team trade, the team announced Tuesday. The deal also sent former Nets star D’Angelo Russell to the Grizzlies as part of the complex maneuvering. Middleton signs a three-year contract worth $17.6 million with the Wizards.

The trade involved the Pistons, Grizzlies, Clippers, Bucks, Mavericks, and Wizards. For Middleton, who was with the Mavericks prior to the trade, the Wizards sent Russell, a 2029 second-round pick, a 2032 second-round swap, and a 2033 second-round pick to the Grizzlies. The Mavericks also contributed a 2033 second-round pick to Washington.

This extensive deal also saw the Pistons trade Caris LeVert and two second-round picks to Milwaukee for Taurean Prince and Gary Harris. The Pistons are also reportedly set to gain trade exception and cap savings from the transaction.

Further elements of the deal include the Pistons trading Marcus Sasser to the Mavericks, Isaiah Stewart to the Grizzlies, and a protected 2028 second-rounder to the Clippers. The Clippers are sending John Collins to the Pistons and cash to the Bucks. The Grizzlies are trading Santi Aldama and the draft rights to Tarik Biberovic to the Mavericks, along with additional draft picks to the Pistons.

Middleton, a 34-year-old player who previously played for the Wizards for parts of the last two seasons, averaged 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game during the 2025-26 season. He originally joined the Wizards via trade from the Bucks at the 2025 deadline.
