Jannik Sinner secured a spot in his second consecutive Wimbledon final after defeating Novak Djokovic in straight sets on Friday. Sinner, 24, won the semifinal match 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 at Centre Court, setting up a Sunday final against Alexander Zverev.

This marks the second year in a row that Sinner has eliminated Djokovic in the Wimbledon semifinals. The victory gives Sinner seven wins in his 12 career matches against Djokovic.

Sinner broke Djokovic's serve in the ninth game of the first set to take a 5-4 lead and served out the set. In the second set, Sinner again broke Djokovic to go up 4-3 and then held serve to lead 5-3. Djokovic saved one set point but could not break Sinner in the subsequent game, with Sinner taking a 2-0 set lead.

The third set saw Sinner break Djokovic in the opening game. Both players held serve for the remainder of the set, with Sinner closing out the match without conceding a break of serve.

Last year, Sinner won his first Wimbledon title by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final. This year's Wimbledon final will be Sinner's seventh career Grand Slam final appearance. He will face Alexander Zverev, who is aiming for his second consecutive major title after winning the French Open in June.

The men's singles final is scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. ET.
