Saquon Barkley Injured in Philadelphia Eagles' Game Against Rams
Star running back Saquon Barkley left Sunday's game early in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.
The Philadelphia Eagles sustained a significant injury blow early in their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams when star running back Saquon Barkley limped to the locker room with a hamstring injury. Barkley exited the game less than five minutes in.
The injury occurred as Barkley was sprinting for a first-down conversion. Replays suggested a light touch on his hamstring from a defending player, after which he pulled up and dropped to a knee on the sideline. He was immediately taken to the blue tent for evaluation and was later seen being walked to the locker room by Eagles security chief Dom DiSandro.
Barkley, who reportedly earns around $20 million annually, is a crucial player for the Eagles' offense. His departure from the game at Lincoln Financial Field caused considerable concern among fans. The team has listed him as questionable to return, presenting an immediate challenge for Philadelphia against the heavily favored Rams.
