Despite the elation of winning Super Bowl LX in February, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold recently disclosed that he harbored internal disappointment regarding his performance in the championship game. In an appearance on the "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast, hosted by former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, Darnold confessed to feeling "bummed" by aspects of the victory.

"Not to be a freaking douche, but, like, I didn’t play great in the Super Bowl,” Darnold said during the conversation. “Like, I missed way too many throws. And we still won. Our defense balled out and I didn’t turn over the ball, which helped."

Darnold completed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown in the Seahawks' 29-13 win against the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium. He stated that upon reviewing game film, he identified "a few" throws he wished he could have made differently, including potential touchdown passes to Jaxon Smith-Njigba and impactful plays to Rashid Shaheed and Cooper Kupp that could have altered the final score.

"How am I going to miss these throws right now? Are you kidding me?" Darnold recalled thinking in the moment. "Right away it was like, ‘How the f—k did I miss that?'"

Darnold, however, has since received his Super Bowl ring and also recently got married, events that have provided significant personal milestones following the championship win.
