The New Orleans Saints have dismissed run game coordinator TJ Paganetti in response to the team's offensive struggles this season. The move comes as the Saints seek solutions to salvage their campaign, which has seen them fall to a 2-5 record.
Paganetti's departure was reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, who described the decision as a "significant" shakeup aimed at addressing the run game issues that have "plagued" the team. New Orleans is currently averaging just 86 rushing yards per game, ranking 28th in the NFL. In their last game before a bye week, a 16-10 loss to the Steelers in Paris, the Saints managed only 18 rushing yards on 17 attempts.
Paganetti joined the Saints in February 2025, following head coach Kellen Moore from the Philadelphia Eagles. He had previously spent time with the Eagles as an analyst starting in 2013, and later in various roles including run game specialist in 2023 and 2024, where he was part of the staff that won Super Bowl LIX. His coaching career also included stints in college football at Oregon from 2015 to 2016.
