World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has shared photos from her post-Wimbledon vacation in Mykonos, Greece, alongside her fiancé Georgios Frangulis. The images were posted after Sabalenka's last-16 defeat to Naomi Osaka at Wimbledon and subsequent public commentary.
Sabalenka's Wimbledon campaign concluded with a 6-2, 7-6 loss to Naomi Osaka on Centre Court, marking her earliest Grand Slam exit since the 2022 French Open and her first straight-sets loss at a major in 122 matches. The defeat extended her wait for a singles title at the Wimbledon tournament.
Following the tournament, Sabalenka addressed her performance, stating, "I f***ed it up this year. Next year I'll try to do better." She also mentioned her intention to "get completely drunk, forget about tennis, and try to get in better shape." The athlete also posted a TikTok video humorously responding to criticism about her focus on social media over tennis, her World No. 1 ranking, and her attitude, captioning it "Thank you guys for the advice!"
Sabalenka's vacation photos featured her in various swimwear, including a brown bikini and a blue two-piece, accessorized with a sunhat and sunglasses. She also showcased a red bikini paired with a sheer red cover-up, captioning one post with "dress code = bikini emoji." The images depicted the couple being affectionate on a boat and relaxing on the Greek island.
Earlier in the season, Sabalenka reached her fourth consecutive Australian Open final in January, where she was defeated by Elena Rybakina. Her French Open bid ended in the quarter-finals with a loss to Diana Shnaider. Despite these Grand Slam disappointments, she maintained her World No. 1 ranking and secured victories at Indian Wells and Miami.
Sabalenka is scheduled to defend her US Open titles, which she won in both 2024 and 2025, in September. Her holiday in Mykonos marks a period of relaxation before she returns her focus to the hard court season.
