England's Ross Smith has won the World Series of Darts Finals, defeating Wales' Gerwyn Price in Amsterdam. The victory marks a significant achievement for Smith, who had previously faced early exits in his only other appearances in the tournament in 2026.

Smith advanced to the final by defeating Josh Rock of Northern Ireland 10-7 in the quarterfinals and Gian van Veen of the Netherlands 11-8 in the semifinals. He secured the winner's prize of £100,000.

Price reached the final after beating James Wade of England in the quarterfinals and compatriot Jonny Clayton in the semifinals. In the final match, Price managed to level the score at 5-5 against Smith but struggled as Smith pulled ahead. Smith proved more clinical after the interval, winning three consecutive legs with checkouts of 127 and 123. He ultimately sealed the victory as Price's performance faltered.

Earlier in the tournament, the world number one Luke Littler saw his attempt to win all major PDC titles in 2026 come to an end. Littler was defeated 10-4 by Jonny Clayton in the quarterfinals. Littler had won major titles including the World Championship, World Masters, UK Open, Premier League, World Cup of Darts, and World Matchplay in 2026. His departure from the World Series of Darts Finals followed a quarterfinal match where he did not display his usual level of play.
