Barcelona has reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Spain captain Rodri for an estimated fee of £65 million. The 30-year-old midfielder is reportedly set to sign a four-year contract with the Spanish club, with the transfer expected to be finalized in the coming days.

Rodri joined Manchester City in 2019 from Atletico Madrid for a then-club record fee of £62.8 million. During his seven seasons at the Etihad Stadium, he made 298 appearances and was part of squads that won 12 major honors, including four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three EFL Cups, and the Champions League in the 2022-23 season.

His recent seasons were impacted by injuries, including a significant knee problem during the 2024-25 campaign and a hamstring issue in a subsequent period. However, he returned to top form for Spain at the recent World Cup, leading his national team to their second title and earning the Player of the Tournament award.
