Ferdinand, who was part of the Manchester United team that narrowly lost the 2011-12 Premier League title to City on goal difference, posted on social media suggesting he would be adding another medal to his collection. "Another premier league medal to be added to the cabinet," the 47-year-old wrote.

The title in question was secured by Manchester City in dramatic fashion when Sergio Aguero scored in the final minute of the last day of the season against QPR. This victory put City ahead of local rivals Manchester United on goal difference.
