Ric Flair Hospitalized After Fall Outside Tampa Bar

Pro wrestling icon Ric Flair, 77, was reportedly taken to a Tampa hospital by ambulance after a fall outside a bar resulted in facial injuries and a potential concussion. TMZ reported that Flair was at a Tampa establishment when he walked outside, fell, and sustained a bleeding cut to his head and eye.

Tampa Fire Rescue confirmed to OutKick and Fox News Digital that they responded to a fall outside an establishment and transported an adult male to a local hospital. The department did not identify the patient due to HIPAA guidelines.

The incident occurred hours after Flair announced he would miss a scheduled appearance in Seattle due to a blood clot in his leg. He stated on X that doctors had limited his travel to 3-4 hours and that blood clots are serious and potentially life-threatening, referencing the recent complications with Jalen Hurts' blood clots. Flair indicated he was scheduled for surgery on the affected vein, expecting it to clear him for more travel afterward.

This is not the first health challenge for the wrestling legend, who has a history of health and alcohol-related issues. Flair's so-called "Last Match" in 2022 saw him pass out twice during the tag-team bout. He later appeared in All Elite Wrestling in 2023.

Flair has an extensive career, holding multiple championship titles, including eight World Championship Wrestling world heavyweight championships, nine National Wrestling Alliance world heavyweight championships, and two WWE championships. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice: as a singles wrestler in 2008 and as a member of the Four Horsemen in 2012.
