Reporters Caught on Hot Mic Praising NBA Stars' Looks
During a livestream of the Sacramento Kings' media day, two reporters were overheard commenting on the attractiveness of Ben Simmons and Zach LaVine.
A hot mic moment during the Sacramento Kings' official media day livestream revealed two reporters commenting on the appearance of NBA players Ben Simmons and Zach LaVine. The audible remarks, captured by KCRA, described both players as "hella fine," despite one reporter also calling Simmons "cringe."
As one reporter was transcribing Simmons' earlier interview, she was heard saying he was "cringe cringe." Another reporter responded, "you lucky you so fine." The first reporter then remarked, "He’s a good-looking dude," and agreed with the assessment that he was "hella fine," noting, "I didn’t notice, his skin is like so smooth. I was like, ‘damn, no tattoos?"
The conversation then shifted to Zach LaVine when a male reporter inquired about him. One of the female reporters stated that LaVine was "hella fine" as well. However, the other reporter expressed a less favorable opinion of his personality, saying, "I think his personality annoys the sh-t out of me. Zach’s cute but his personality f–king annoys me. It just seems he’s like he’s hella like a prick."
LaVine is entering his third season with the Kings, having averaged 19.2 points per game last year before a hand injury required season-ending surgery in February. Simmons signed a one-year deal with the Kings in early September, after not being signed for the entire 2025-26 NBA season. He last played in an NBA game in April 2025 with the Los Angeles Clippers.
