Cincinnati Reds center fielder Dane Myers was carted off the field after a collision with the outfield wall during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night. The incident occurred in the bottom of the fourth inning as Myers attempted an acrobatic catch on a ball hit by Andrew Vaughn.

Myers tracked the ball toward the gap and made a leaping catch, but lost his balance and impacted the fence at high speed. He remained on the ground in apparent pain, holding his right shoulder. Reds training staff attended to Myers on the field before he was placed on a cart and removed from the game. TJ Friedl replaced him in center field.

Mgr. Terry Francona stated after the Reds' 5-3 loss that initial X-rays on Myers were negative. He was taken to a local hospital in Milwaukee for further testing.

Meyers, 30, is in his first season with the Reds and has played in 63 games, posting a .256 batting average with a .742 OPS, three home runs, and 14 RBIs. He made his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins in 2023.

The Reds were leading 1-0 at the time of Myers' injury. The Brewers ultimately secured the win with a two-run home run in the eighth inning.
