England requires 130 runs to secure victory in the third Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston after a defiant performance from debutant Razaullah on day three.
The Pakistani debutant, batting at number nine, scored a rapid 81 off 43 balls, including nine sixes, to propel Pakistan to 449 all out. His aggressive innings frustrated England's bowlers and extended the match into a fourth day.
Razaullah's innings tied Ben Stokes' record for the most sixes in a Test innings played in England. He shared a crucial 121-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Muhammad Abbas, who contributed 42 runs, including two sixes. Razaullah was eventually stumped off Dan Lawrence.
Pakistan began the day 268 runs behind England's first innings score of 453. Shan Masood and Azan Awais built a third-wicket partnership of 125 until Awais was out for 59. Masood then added 89 runs with captain Babar Azam, who scored 76. Masood was dismissed for 95 after being caught by Gus Atkinson off Dan Lawrence.
England had opportunities to end the match sooner, but weather disruptions on Thursday and Pakistan's resilience on Friday delayed their anticipated win. The hosts will resume their chase on Saturday.
