Ravens' Kyle Hamilton Predicted Interception of Tua Tagovailoa, Teammate Says

Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton anticipated his game-winning interception of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during overtime, according to teammate Marlon Humphrey.

Humphrey, speaking on "The Marlon Humphrey Show," recalled Hamilton's reaction when Tagovailoa entered the game late in the fourth quarter and again in overtime. "Kyle (looked across the field) and was like, ‘Tua in the game!’" Humphrey said. "He knew he was going to get a pick. He literally was like, ‘Oh, he better throw me one.’ He was so excited, it was the most excited I’ve probably seen Kyle."

The interception marked Hamilton's first of the season and the sixth of his career. Tagovailoa had entered the game after starter Michael Penix Jr. sustained a rib injury. Penix returned for one play in overtime, but Tagovailoa was leading the Falcons' offense when the decisive turnover occurred.

Tagovailoa has a history of turnovers, having thrown 15 interceptions in 14 starts last season. Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has indicated Penix is expected to start in the team's upcoming game against the Chicago Bears, which would return Tagovailoa to a backup role.

Atlanta's offensive performance has varied significantly based on its quarterback. With both Penix and Tagovailoa sidelined early in the season and Cooper Rush at quarterback, the team scored only 16 points in the first two weeks. However, the offense saw a surge in production with Penix back at the helm, scoring 80 points over games against the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, leading the league during that span.
