Rangers will host their Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals, with the match scheduled for the weekend of September 12-13.
The draw sets up a significant fixture for Rangers manager Derek McInnes, whose first taste of an Old Firm game was initially slated for September 20 at Celtic Park. Rangers secured their spot in the quarter-finals with a resounding 5-1 victory over Premier Sports Cup holders St Mirren, marking McInnes' first win as manager.
Celtic also advanced, having trounced Dundee United 4-0 at Tannadice. Other quarter-final pairings include an all-top-flight tie between Kilmarnock and Aberdeen. Kilmarnock reached the last eight by defeating Ayrshire rivals Ayr United in a five-goal thriller.
Aberdeen had previously overcome Dundee 3-0 at Pittodrie, while Ross County beat Dunfermline 2-1 to earn their place in the next round. Stenhousemuir, after an extra-time upset against Motherwell, are set to host last season's Scottish Premiership runners-up Hearts.
