Rams Wide Receiver Davante Adams Out 6-10 Weeks with Ruptured Hamstring

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams will be sidelined for six to 10 weeks after rupturing his hamstring, the team announced Monday. The injury occurred on a non-contact play during the Rams’ 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Adams, 33, was injured on Los Angeles’ final possession of the game. He was seen grabbing the back of his left knee after cutting hard on a passing route and subsequently hobbled off the field. The injury to the veteran receiver is a significant blow to the Rams, who have struggled to a 2-4 record this season.

Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed the severity of the injury during a press conference on Monday. Adams has suffered a semitendinosus rupture, which involves a tear or complete detachment of the semitendinosus muscle or its tendon.

This latest setback compounds the Rams' difficulties in what has been a challenging start to their season. The team will now have to navigate a crucial part of their schedule without one of their key offensive weapons.
