Emma Raducanu has missed a training session at Wimbledon due to an injury that has surfaced following her recent performance at the Queen's Club tournament. The 23-year-old British player, who reached the Queen's final earlier this month, is reportedly dealing with a shin problem.
Raducanu concluded her Queen's run as runner-up to Donna Vekic after a series of matches. During the quarter-finals of that tournament, she was observed wearing strapping on her left thigh after a slip. However, sources indicate the current concern is with her shin, not her thigh.
She was reportedly seen leaving the All England Club on Wednesday wearing an orthopaedic boot on her right leg.
Following the Queen's final, Raducanu commented on managing "a few niggles over the past few weeks" and the impact of the recent match load, describing it as "a great problem to have, playing this many matches."
This return to form marked a significant moment for the British number one, who had not secured a victory since early March and had missed several tournaments due to a viral illness. She opted not to compete in Nottingham last week or Eastbourne this week but did practice at the All England Club on Monday.
Raducanu is seeded 30th for Wimbledon, which is scheduled to commence on Monday. Her first-round opponent will be determined in the draw on Friday.
