Jarell Quansah is expected to take the starting right-back position for England in their upcoming World Cup last-16 tie against Mexico, set to be held at the Azteca Stadium. Quansah's inclusion comes as Djed Spence is dealing with a minor muscle niggle reported on Sunday morning.
In addition to Quansah, wingers Bukayo Saka and Anthony Gordon are anticipated to be part of the starting XI, replacing Noni Madueke and Marcus Rashford. The expected lineup, according to BBC Sport, is Jordan Pickford in goal; Jarell Quansah, Ezri Konsa, Marc Guehi, and Nico O'Reilly in defense; Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson in midfield; Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellingham, and Anthony Gordon in attack; and Harry Kane as the central striker.
The 23-year-old Quansah is available for selection after recovering from an ankle injury he sustained during England's group-stage victory over Panama. He has since returned to full training.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 01:00 BST on Monday and will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer.
