Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is expected to be available for the team's season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

Head coach Sean McVay stated after Sunday's practice that he anticipates Nacua playing in the Week 1 game, which is scheduled to take place in Australia. "Yeah, absolutely, that’s what I’ve heard. I haven’t heard anything different," McVay told Michael Duarte of The Post when asked about Nacua's availability.

Nacua was observed practicing with the team on Sunday, though it has not been confirmed whether he was a full participant or had limitations. His status for the opener had been uncertain throughout the offseason due to potential league disciplinary action under the personal conduct policy, stemming from off-field incidents including an accusation of biting Madison Atiabi and making an antisemitic remark. A photo released in July reportedly showed the severity of the bite mark on Atiabi’s shoulder.

Nacua also sought rehabilitation earlier this year and described the offseason as a "moment for me to learn." In addition to the potential suspension, he has also been managing a psoas injury that had previously limited his participation.

With Nacua's expected return, the Rams offense will regain last season's reception leader, who recorded 129 catches for 1,715 yards, ranking second in the NFL for receiving yards.
