Police Rule AEW Wrestler PAC's Death Non-Suspicious

Police have stated that the death of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Benjamin Satterley, known professionally as PAC, is not being treated as suspicious. Satterley, 40, was discovered unresponsive in a vehicle at a CAVA restaurant parking lot near Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Sunday.

First responders were called to the scene in Des Plaines, Illinois, around 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Dispatch audio reviewed by TMZ indicated that authorities described the situation as a "slumper" and stated "We can't confirm breathing at this time." An official later confirmed Satterley, who was British, was found dead on arrival.

Witnesses at the restaurant reportedly observed Satterley "passed out" in his car and alerted emergency services. Some customers attempted to provide aid with available medical equipment before paramedics arrived. Police, fire trucks, and an ambulance were present at the scene.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office pronounced Satterley dead at 4:08 p.m. While an autopsy has been conducted, the official cause and manner of death are pending further examination, which could take several weeks.

Satterley had competed for AEW the night before his death at the NOW Arena in Chicago. He lost a match against Andrade at the All Out pay-per-view event and later made an appearance during the main event between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.

AEW confirmed Satterley's passing in a statement Sunday evening. The promotion noted that Satterley, born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004 and performed globally before signing with AEW in 2019. He held multiple AEW championships and was recognized for his in-ring abilities and high-flying moves. AEW extended condolences to his family, friends, and fans.
