Darts legend Phil Taylor, 66, has undergone a significant body transformation after discontinuing the weight-loss drug Mounjaro and embracing a healthier lifestyle that includes a new workout routine and abstaining from alcohol.

Taylor, nicknamed 'The Power,' revealed on 'The Smith Brothers: Not a Podcast' that his current regimen consists of eating salads and walking his dog for exercise, a routine he says is yielding positive results. He also shared that he has quit Mounjaro after using it for about a month and a half, which he felt changed his mindset, leading him to stop drinking vodka every night. He is now teetotal and opts for 0% alcohol beer if he chooses to have a drink.

New Routine and Diet

His daily routine begins with bottled water and electrolytes, followed by 1,000 meters on a rowing machine and 5,000 steps on a treadmill. For meals, he typically consumes chicken salad, focusing on getting 30-50 grams of protein, a significant change from his previous habits where he admitted to avoiding salads.

Taylor, widely regarded as the most successful darts player in history with 16 World Championships and 87 major titles, retired from professional darts in 2018. Despite his retirement, he believes he could still compete with younger players like Luke Littler with some practice.

Return to Practice

He has recently started practicing darts again, dedicating about an hour a day, with plans to increase this to an hour and a half. He is enjoying the practice, especially when his grandson, Nathan, who is also a decent player, visits. However, Taylor stated that a full return to the professional circuit is unlikely, citing the significant time and effort required to reach the top ranks, referencing the experience of other players who have dropped off the circuit.
