Paul Pogba has cut the asking price of his Cheshire mansion by £450,000, lowering it to £3.5 million, after struggling to find a buyer for the property. The former Manchester United midfielder initially listed the five-bedroom home for £3.95 million in 2024, hoping to make a profit of £1 million.
The luxurious 7,402-square-foot property, located in an affluent Cheshire area, was purchased by Pogba in 2017 for a cut-price sum. He subsequently renovated the home, adding a unique indoor football pitch and a cinema room. The house also features a state-of-the-art gym and treatment room.
Momentum around the sale has picked up as Pogba's contract with AS Monaco was terminated a year early. The Ligue 1 club confirmed on Wednesday that an agreement was reached to end the midfielder's contract, which was set to run until June 2027. This follows a challenging period for Pogba, who had been attempting to revive his career after an 18-month doping ban. He featured in only six games last season for Monaco.
In 2022, the mansion was the target of a burglary while Pogba's children were at home. He described the incident as his "family's worst nightmare," stating that intruders had stolen their "sense of safety and security."
Pogba is now a free agent, with reports suggesting he was offered to MLS clubs. He was cleared to return to football in March 2025 after his four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months on appeal. His contract with Juventus was also terminated by mutual consent in November 2024.
AS Monaco expressed gratitude for Pogba's "unwavering determination" and "utmost professionalism" during his time at the club. A statement noted that while initial objectives were only partially achieved, Pogba demonstrated a remarkable mindset and shared his experience with the squad, contributing to his return to top-level competition.
