Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes has been suspended for 10 matches by Fifa's disciplinary committee due to his involvement in on-field clashes that occurred after his team's 1-0 defeat to Spain in the 2026 World Cup final. His teammate, Nahuel Molina, received a seven-match ban for his role in the incidents.

Argentina has also been ordered to play their next two home matches behind closed doors. One match of this sanction has been suspended.
