Padres and Brewers Set for Historic NLDS Showdown
The two National League contenders, both founded in 1969, will meet in the postseason for the first time in their history.
The San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers are set to face each other in the National League Division Series (NLDS), marking the first postseason meeting between the two franchises.
The series begins Saturday, Oct. 3, at American Family Field in Milwaukee, with Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski (16-5, 1.80 ERA) scheduled to start. The Brewers, who finished as MLB's winningest team in 2026, are favored in the series, with oddsmakers listing them as -180 favorites.
Following two games in Milwaukee, the series will shift to San Diego for Games 3 and 4 at PETCO Park on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and Wednesday, Oct. 7, respectively. A potential Game 5 would return to Milwaukee on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Tickets for the NLDS games are currently available. For the games in Milwaukee, prices start at $99 including fees for Game 2 on Oct. 4. For the Padres' home games, tickets begin at $121 including fees for Game 3 on Oct. 6.
The Padres advanced to the NLDS after sweeping the Chicago Cubs in the Wild Card round. This comes after the Padres lost to the Cubs in the opening round of the playoffs last year. "They’re playing great baseball right now," San Diego manager Craig Stammen said of his team.
Despite the Brewers' regular-season success, the Padres held a 4-2 advantage in their six meetings during the regular season, including an 11-inning victory on Aug. 12. The matchup features notable pitching talent, with Misiorowski and Padres' Fernando Tatis Jr. expected to be key figures, alongside pitchers like Mason Miller.
Fans can watch the Padres' playoff games on FOX, which is available on DIRECTV. Information on tickets for potential later rounds, including the NLCS and World Series, is also available, as are details for other major concert events in San Diego.
