Packers Wide Receiver Jayden Reed Carted Off Field With Neck Injury
The Green Bay Packers have ruled wide receiver Jayden Reed out for the remainder of the game against the New York Jets following a scary injury early in the first quarter.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was carted off the field on a spine board with an apparent neck injury during the first quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
The injury occurred on the second play of the game when Reed was hit by Jets linebacker Demario Davis after catching a swing pass from quarterback Jordan Love. Trainers and doctors immediately attended to Reed, who was motionless on the turf before being placed on the board for transport.
The entire Packers team observed from the field and sideline during the concerning incident. The team has since ruled Reed out for the remainder of the game. No further updates on his condition have been provided.
This is not the first injury Reed has faced. He missed 10 games last season due to a broken collarbone and subsequent foot surgery.
