Packers Duo Suffers Early Exit Against Jets

The Green Bay Packers experienced a significant setback early in their game against the New York Jets on Sunday, with two key players, wide receiver Jayden Reed and right guard Zach Bako-Bewele, being carted off the field due to injuries within the first four plays.
The concerning sequence began on the second play of the game when Reed caught a swing pass from quarterback Jordan Love and was hit hard by Jets defender Demario Davis. Reed remained down on the turf, prompting immediate attention from the Packers' medical staff, who ultimately brought out a backboard for him to be secured before he was taken off the field for further evaluation.
Packers teammates and coaches gathered around Reed to offer support following the incident.
Just two plays later, the Packers faced another injury blow when right guard Zach Bako-Bewele sustained an injury. Bako-Bewele appeared to twist his leg awkwardly while attempting to block Jets rookie defensive player David Bailey and was subsequently carted off with a cast on his right leg.
Bako-Bewele had been listed as questionable for the game due to a knee injury, an issue he also managed in Week 1. Reed, a fourth-year player drafted by the Packers in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, recently signed a three-year contract extension worth $50.25 million. Bako-Bewele was selected by the Packers in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The injuries cast a shadow over the Packers' efforts to secure their first win of the season, following a loss to the Minnesota Vikings the previous week.
