Olympic Swimmer Shayna Jack Weds Hockey Player Joel Rintala

Australian Olympic swimming champion Shayna Jack has married her fiancé, hockey star Joel Rintala, in an outdoor wedding ceremony on the Gold Coast. The couple exchanged vows on October 9 at The Valley Estate in Currumbin Valley.

Jack, 27, and Rintala, 30, have been together for 10 years. They announced their engagement in August 2024. Jack shared photos from the wedding on Instagram, showing the couple smiling as they exchanged vows in front of friends and family.

For the ceremony, Jack wore a strapless gown with lace detailing from Sphere Bridal Gallery, accessorized with a long veil, pearl earrings, and a diamond necklace. She carried a bouquet of white roses. Rintala wore a classic black tuxedo by M.J. Bale.

The celebration followed Jack's success at the Paris Olympic Games, where she won two freestyle gold medals. Rintala, a field hockey player, did not qualify for the 2024 Olympics but previously won gold at the Sultan of Johor Cup in 2017.
