Odell Beckham Jr. will wear No. 13 for the New York Giants this season, the team announced Tuesday. The number marks a return to the jersey he wore during his initial tenure with the franchise from 2014 to 2018.

Beckham had initially selected No. 3 for the summer, but the regular season number was reassigned. Second-year linebacker Abdul Carter, a 2025 draft pick, also claimed No. 3. For Beckham to wear No. 13, fourth-year receiver Jalin Hyatt relinquished the number he had worn throughout his NFL career.

The 33-year-old wide receiver was among the five receivers to make the Giants' initial 53-man roster. He appeared in all three preseason games, recording seven receptions for 76 yards.

During his first five seasons with the Giants, Beckham was a significant offensive contributor. He ranks second in franchise history with 5,476 receiving yards and fourth with 390 receptions and 44 receiving touchdowns over 59 regular-season games. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons, averaging 96 receptions for 1,374 yards and 11.7 touchdowns per year from 2014-16.

Beckham's return to the Giants also signifies a reunion with head coach John Harbaugh, whom he played under on the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. The Giants are scheduled to open their 2026 regular season at home against the Dallas Cowboys on September 13.
