Oba Femi is the new King of the Ring after defeating Jey Uso in the tournament final at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. The victory earned Femi a championship match of his choosing at the upcoming SummerSlam event.

The highly anticipated match took place on Saturday at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Femi, who had expressed interest in facing Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns prior to the event, battled Uso throughout the night. Uso sought to win the tournament and bring another world title back to his faction, The Bloodline.

Despite Uso's efforts, which included multiple thrust kicks, a running shoulder block, a spear, and an Uso Splash, he was unable to secure the victory. Femi ultimately regained control, utilizing his strength to toss Uso to the mat. Femi then executed his signature move, Fall from Grace, pinning Uso to claim the King of the Ring title.

"It feels so good to go from ‘The Ruler’ to being the king," Femi stated in a post-match promo. "Jey Uso did not understand what he was up against tonight. He thought he was just fighting one man. You might be able to beat one man but you can’t beat fate and you can’t beat destiny and most importantly, you can’t beat me. I am the ruler, the destroyer, the bringer of war, the mountain that you cannot climb, the mountain that you cannot conquer, the one-of-one, the beast slayer, the one, the chosen one, the king of the ring, Oba Femi!"

Femi now faces the decision of which championship he will pursue at SummerSlam, which is scheduled for August 1 and 2. While he is a Raw superstar, potentially aligning him with Reigns, another major championship change occurred later in the night when Sami Zayn won the Undisputed WWE Championship in a triple-threat match against Cody Rhodes and Gunther.
