The alliance between WWE legends Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Paige took a dramatic turn at SummerSlam when Nikki Bella attacked Paige following a loss to Fatal Influence. The incident unfolded at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis shortly after Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence secured a victory over the trio in a six-woman tag team match.
Following the match, as Paige, Brie Bella, and Nikki Bella acknowledged the crowd, Nikki Bella turned and delivered a clothesline to Paige. The assault continued with Nikki Bella laying into her former partner, leaving Paige stunned in the ring. The Bellas then walked away, leaving Paige behind.
Paige later posted on social media, "Oh you f----d up," in response to the events.
The alliance between the three wrestlers had originated with Paige's return to WWE at WrestleMania 42. She stepped in for an injured Nikki Bella to compete for the women's tag team championship. Paige and Brie Bella won that match and held the titles for several weeks before losing them to Reid and Henley at Saturday Night’s Main Event, a precursor to the SummerSlam encounter.
For Fatal Influence, the victory solidifies their position as a prominent group on SmackDown. Henley and Reid are current champions, and Jayne is seen as a strong contender for future singles titles.
