Joaquin Niemann led the LIV Golf New York tournament from start to finish, securing his win with a final score of 16 under par. The Chilean golfer carded a two-under 69 in the final round at Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey. Niemann finished three strokes ahead of American Harold Varner III, who tied for second place at 13 under par.
Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe and England's Lee Westwood shared third place, finishing seven strokes behind Niemann at nine under par.
Despite a final round 76, Jon Rahm secured his third consecutive LIV Golf season title. The Spaniard holds an unassailable points lead over Bryson DeChambeau with one individual event remaining on the schedule. Rahm has achieved two victories this season, in Hong Kong and Mexico, along with four runner-up finishes.
Rahm reflected on his season, stating, "It has been a great year. A little sour taste in my mouth because of how badly I played this week, but it has been something to be proud of." He added that securing the season title again, especially after not winning an event last year, "definitely feels good."
The LIV Golf season is set to conclude with the team championship in Michigan from August 27-30.
