FOX Sports analyst Nick Wright has identified Caleb Williams as the quarterback with the highest potential to become the premier player from the 2024 NFL draft class. Wright assigned Williams a 45% likelihood of achieving this distinction, surpassing fellow 2024 draftees Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye.

During a segment on "First Things First," Wright highlighted Williams' arm strength, calling it potentially "the strongest arm in the league" and certainly within the top three. He also noted that Williams demonstrated strong play in recent playoff games, contrasting this with his assessment of Drake Maye's performance.

Wright projected Drake Maye to emerge as the top quarterback with a 40% probability, while Jayden Daniels received 13%, and Bo Nix received 2%. Wright expressed concerns regarding Daniels' long-term viability due to his playing style and physical frame, a sentiment he has maintained consistently.

Beyond arm strength, Wright pointed to Williams' mobility as a key differentiator. He stated that Williams is a better runner than Maye and more dangerous as a runner, despite Maye accumulating more rushing yards last season. This combination of physical attributes, including a strong arm and running ability, gives Williams a perceived advantage.

Williams, Maye, Daniels, and Nix are all entering the NFL as starting quarterbacks in the 2024 class. Their professional careers will be closely watched and compared as they aim to prove who among them is the best quarterback from their draft year.
