Tennis player Nick Kyrgios has offered insights into his intimate life during a promotional appearance with his girlfriend, Danai Stamati. The couple participated in a series of Instagram videos for "Hello Nancy," a company specializing in adult products for women. This interview took place in London as Kyrgios prepared for his participation in the men's doubles at Wimbledon.
During the interview, Kyrgios was asked questions framed as tennis-related but aimed at eliciting personal details. When asked about preferences for "long rallies versus getting to the point," Kyrgios responded, "Sometimes I am ready to go, like, for long rallies, and then sometimes I just don't really give a care in the world, I just want to finish the point quite quickly." He added that his preference "just depends" and noted, "I guess she kinda depends on that one."
Regarding physical approach, Kyrgios stated, "I'm a tighter grip kinda guy," explaining, "I like feeling everything in that sense. I play quite finesse and quite controlled, so I like feeling things. I don't like not having a tight grip on things."
When questioned about which tennis skill translates to the bedroom, Kyrgios suggested, "Tennis court, I'm very flirty and a bit wristy with my forehand, so I think that translates quite well."
Kyrgios also acknowledged instances where his attempts at seduction have failed. "Yeah, I think so," he admitted when asked if he had ever tried to be seductive and "completely failed." He elaborated, "I think it's more attractive when someone, you know, tries something and it doesn't work, and then they both kind of acknowledge, at least you tried." He noted Stamati's reaction, saying, "I love it, how she's just nodding her head!"
The interview also captured a tender moment where Kyrgios adjusted Stamati's bathrobe. The "Hello Nancy" crew captioned the interaction, "Nancy witnessed this live and honestly, we're still recovering."
Kyrgios first publicly revealed Stamati's identity in April, approximately three months after their relationship began. He shared posts featuring them on his Instagram story, expressing gratitude and congratulating her on her birthday. Stamati, whose hometown is listed as Nafpaktos, Greece, is reported to be celebrating her 24th birthday in September. Details on how they met are limited, but her profession is listed as a sales floor assistant for Metricon.
Stamati has reportedly integrated well with Kyrgios's family, with photos showing her interacting with his niece and nephew. Kyrgios is set to compete in the men's doubles at Wimbledon with partner Alexander Bublik, with their first match scheduled for July 1. He was not granted a wildcard for the men's singles due to ongoing injury concerns. Kyrgios recently returned to singles play at the Stuttgart Open, securing his first victory in 15 months, but withdrew from a subsequent tournament in Halle due to a knee issue.
