NFL Fan Fights Erupt Across Multiple Stadiums
Altercations reported between fans of the Chargers and Broncos, Dolphins and Bengals, and Giants and Redskins.
NFL stadiums saw a surge in fan altercations on Sunday, with notable fights breaking out between supporters of various teams across multiple cities. Viral social media footage captured a particularly intense confrontation at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where a Dolphins fan was seen exchanging punches with a Cincinnati Bengals fan in the upper deck.
Another significant incident occurred at SoFi Stadium, where the winless Los Angeles Chargers hosted the Denver Broncos. While official arrest numbers were not detailed, the atmosphere was reportedly charged, with thousands of Broncos fans in attendance.
In the Washington D.C. area, fans of the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins were involved in a physical altercation following their game. Reports also mentioned an Eagles fan engaging in a fight after the game concluded.
At Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears game, tensions were high, though law enforcement reported fewer incidents compared to previous matchups between the rivals. During a December 2025 night game between the Packers and Bears, authorities responded to 30 calls for service, leading to 12 ejections and one arrest. In contrast, for the recent game, police responded to just 15 calls, resulting in seven ejections.
The phenomenon of fan-involved disturbances extended beyond professional football, with a report of parents fighting at an 8U youth football game in Winter Haven, Florida, requiring intervention from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
