The New York Liberty enter the FIBA World Cup break with a 24-16 record following an 85-66 victory over the Chicago Sky. With four regular-season games left, the team faces several key questions regarding its identity and playoff readiness.
Guard Sabrina Ionescu has been in a prolonged shooting slump, and the team has encountered difficulties defending Golden State’s physical style of play. Conversely, center Han Xu has seen her role emerge significantly. The Liberty will need to address these areas and prove their mettle before the WNBA playoffs commence.
