The Brooklyn Nets have signed 7-foot center Grant Nelson to a two-way contract, completing the team's roster for the upcoming season. Nelson will occupy one of the Nets' three two-way spots, joining rookie Tyler Bilodeau and second-year player Chaney Johnson. The team also has 15 players on standard contracts and can still add players before training camp.
Last season, Nelson played in four games for the Nets after initially joining on an Exhibit 10 deal. He also appeared in 23 games for the Nets' G-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, where he averaged 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game on 54.9% shooting. His season was ultimately cut short due to patellar tendinitis, which caused him to miss the Summer League, though he did attend the Las Vegas Summer League for rehabilitation.
Nelson, 24, was undrafted in 2025. He played college basketball for North Dakota State, where he earned first-team All-Summit League honors, before transferring to the University of Alabama. During his time in the SEC, he averaged nearly 12 points per game.
