Nebraska Cornhuskers Sell Stadium Urinals for Thousands as Renovation Underway
Fans are purchasing vintage urinal troughs from Memorial Stadium for $3,000 each.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are generating revenue from the sale of vintage urinal troughs as Memorial Stadium undergoes renovation. Fans have the opportunity to purchase these historic fixtures for $3,000 apiece.
According to reports, seven of the thirty available porcelain urinals have already been sold, generating $21,000. This initiative allows the university to repurpose stadium components that might otherwise be discarded, turning them into unique memorabilia for dedicated fans.
The sales are part of a larger renovation project for Memorial Stadium, a venue that has hosted generations of Cornhuskers football games. The urinal troughs, having been part of the stadium's history for decades, are now being marketed as conversation pieces for basements or sports bars.
