Ndamukong Suh, who won a Super Bowl with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021, has shared his bold predictions for the upcoming NFL season. The former defensive tackle, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, offered his insights on potential playoff teams and Super Bowl contenders to The Daily Mail.
The 2026 NFL season has seen its first two games, with the Seattle Seahawks securing a 13-10 victory over the New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers upsetting the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia.
Suh identified the Los Angeles Rams as a team under significant pressure, noting that their status as a "super team" naturally places the expectation of a Super Bowl victory upon them.
For the NFC playoffs, Suh's surprise pick is the Minnesota Vikings. He believes that with quarterback Kyler Murray and head coach Kevin O'Connell, the team has the potential to achieve success similar to what they've accomplished in the past. "Murray's no bum, for lack of better words. He has ability I think and more than enough capability to get a team to the playoffs," Suh stated, emphasizing the importance of a strong defense complementing Murray's offensive capabilities.
In the AFC, Suh is backing the Los Angeles Chargers to make the playoffs. He highlighted the combination of an elite quarterback in Justin Herbert and the defensive structure often associated with Jim Harbaugh. "You've got an elite quarterback in Justin Herbert, who shows amazing promise and has an opportunity to take a team to the next level," Suh said.
Looking ahead to the Super Bowl, Suh predicts an AFC Championship win for the Denver Broncos, contingent on quarterback Bo Nix returning to an elite level after injury. "They made it to the conference championship last year. So if they do that, I think they definitely win the conference championship and bring it in," he remarked.
For the NFC, Suh is making an ambitious pick, suggesting that Caleb Williams will have an "MVP-type of season" and lead the Chicago Bears to the Super Bowl. He believes the team's experiences from the previous year have prepared them to capitalize on opportunities and elevate their performance.
Suh ultimately predicts the Denver Broncos will lift the Lombardi Trophy at SoFi Stadium, believing that coach Sean Payton would "find a way to win that" if he reached the Super Bowl.
