The NBA has announced that no further disciplinary action will be taken following a physical altercation between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, formerly of the Miami Heat. An NBA spokesperson stated that after discussions with the players involved and the NBPA, the league has decided everyone prefers to "move on from this unfortunate circumstance."

The incident reportedly occurred in Las Vegas at the Resorts World Hotel. According to ESPN reports, Adebayo confronted Herro over social media comments made after Herro's trade to the Milwaukee Bucks in a package deal for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Herro was later restrained from a physical response.

"Honestly, I’m just trying to move past all of it," Herro told ESPN. "I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they’ve been doing."

Sources within the Heat organization indicated that while Adebayo and Herro generally maintained a good relationship during their seven seasons as teammates in Miami, their dynamic shifted last season. Herro's struggles with injuries, including ankle, toe, and rib issues that limited him to 33 games, and a perceived difficulty in adapting to a new offensive scheme reportedly led to Adebayo making comments that implied Herro needed to increase his contributions.

Herro's name had also been mentioned in trade discussions involving Antetokounmpo since February. Ultimately, he was part of the trade package sent to Milwaukee, which also included Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, and multiple draft picks, including three first-rounders. In the same transaction, the Heat acquired Bobby Portis from the Bucks.
