Cleary posted on Instagram, thanking supporters for their messages and expressing his determination to return to the field. He included a photo from the hospital, giving two thumbs up. "Surgery done… Thank you so much to everyone that has reached out, the support has been unbelievable," he wrote.

He acknowledged the difficulty of the previous day, stating, "Yesterday sucked but it's all part of the journey and it's made me even more grateful for the people I have around me." Cleary concluded his message with a promise: "I'll be back."
