Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and rookie quarterback Ty Simpson attended the USA vs. Turkey World Cup game at SoFi Stadium together on Thursday.
The pair were seen entering the stadium and were observed in a luxury VIP section. At one point, Nacua was seen guiding Simpson, who reportedly took a wrong turn while entering the venue, towards their seats.
Their suite included other notable figures, including actors Jessica Alba and Ashton Kutcher, Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell, Kings guard Zach LaVine, and NBA legend Scottie Pippen.
Simpson was selected by the Rams as the 13th overall pick in the recent NFL draft. The team anticipates that veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford will continue to start, keeping Simpson off the field for the immediate future. However, the outing suggests that Nacua and Simpson are already establishing a rapport ahead of potential future on-field collaboration.
Nacua is coming off a highly productive season, leading the NFL in receptions and ranking among the league leaders in receiving yards per game and touchdowns. He finished second on the Rams in touchdown catches, trailing only Davante Adams.
