Tottenham's new winger Mykhailo Mudryk is expected to miss up to two months after sustaining an ankle injury in training. The setback comes only days after Mudryk made his first competitive appearance in nearly two years as a substitute in Tottenham's goalless draw at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Ukraine international joined Tottenham on loan from Chelsea for the season. His appearance against Nottingham Forest marked his return to competitive football after a doping ban that began in November 2024.
Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi had indicated that Mudryk would require time to regain full match fitness, but this training injury now halts his immediate progress. The club also faces other injury concerns, with Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert recovering from serious knee injuries and not expected back this year. Dejan Kulusevski is nearing a return after more than a year out with a knee injury, while James Maddison is also on his way back from a knee issue and recently picked up a shoulder injury. Mudryk's absence will impact De Zerbi's attacking options, especially with Richarlison having departed the club in the summer and teenage winger Mikey Moore having been loaned to Cologne.
