Missouri Climbs to No. 14 in AP Poll, Florida Drops After Loss to Tigers

Missouri jumped 11 spots to No. 14 in the latest AP college football rankings, its highest position since October 2025, following a decisive victory over Florida. The Gators fell eight places to No. 16 after their 45-17 loss to Missouri.

Texas retained its No. 1 ranking for the fourth week in a row and will face Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry game. The Longhorns received 61 of the 70 first-place votes. Georgia, which secured six first-place votes, remained at No. 2, followed by Notre Dame, Miami, and Ohio State. Miami earned two first-place votes after defeating Clemson on the road.

Alabama and Indiana swapped spots, with Alabama moving to No. 6 and Indiana to No. 7. The Hoosiers received the final first-place vote. BYU rose to No. 8, Mississippi stayed at No. 9, and LSU moved up one position to No. 10.

Iowa dropped six spots to No. 20 after a loss to Ohio State, and SMU slipped to No. 24 following a win over Boston College. Pittsburgh entered the poll at No. 25, marking its first appearance this season. The team, now 5-0, achieved this ranking despite losing quarterback Mason Heintschel to a season-ending ACL tear.

Kentucky, previously ranked No. 24, dropped out of the top 25. The Wildcats are currently the highest-ranked unranked team, with 35-34 overtime win against South Carolina.
