Mickie James to Appear at TNA Bound for Glory, Championship Matches Set

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) legend Mickie James is scheduled to appear at the upcoming Bound for Glory event. Her return was revealed through a vignette during Thursday's "Impact" broadcast, featuring an older TNA logo, a beam of light, and eventually the appearance of a white cowgirl hat and denim jacket, all accompanied by her "Hardcore Country" entrance theme.

James has had multiple stints with TNA. She first joined the company in 2002 and returned in 2010, where she won the TNA Knockouts Championship, becoming the first woman to hold that title along with the WWE Women's Championship and WWE Divas Championship. She held the Knockouts title five times during her career and was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame last year. Her most recent run with the company was from 2021 to 2023.

Bound for Glory is set to take place on Sunday, October 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The event will feature four championship matches. The vacant TNA X Division Championship will be contested in a six-way scramble involving Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Ryan Nemeth, and BDE. Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell are set to face off for the Knockouts Championship. The TNA International Championship will be defended by Mustafa Ali against Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Special Agent Zero in a four-way match. Additionally, Nic Nemeth will defend the TNA World Championship against Leon Slater.

Other matches announced for Bound for Glory include Ricky Sosa against Eddie Edwards, and a Falls Count Anywhere match pitting Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw against The Hardys. The event will also feature a Call Your Shot Gauntlet match, where the winner earns a future championship match.
