Michael Wynn Jones, Husband of Delia Smith and Former Norwich City Chairman, Dies at 85
Norwich City has announced the passing of their former chairman and honorary life president, Michael Wynn Jones, aged 85.
Michael Wynn Jones, the husband of television cook Delia Smith, has died at the age of 85. His death was announced by Norwich City Football Club, where he and Smith served as majority shareholders for 28 years.
Wynn Jones died peacefully at home on Monday morning. The club stated that he will be greatly missed and extended its deepest condolences to Smith, their son Tom, and all of Michael’s family and loved ones.
The family expressed gratitude for the care provided by the community nursing team at St Elizabeth Hospice. They have requested privacy during this difficult time.
Smith and Wynn Jones stepped back from the board of Norwich City last year, having agreed to reduce their stake in the club to 10 percent. Following their departure from the board, they were granted honorary life president status.
