The New York Mets have promoted prospect Jefferson Rojas to Triple-A Syracuse. Rojas earned the move after hitting nine home runs in 29 games for Double-A Binghamton.
In other farm system news, Mitch Voit was named the organization’s Player of the Year, and Jonathan Santucci received Pitcher of the Year honors for his 157 strikeouts, a mark that tied for third-most in minor league baseball.
These prospect developments come after the Mets dropped two out of three games to the Yankees in their recent Subway Series matchup. During that series, Francisco Lindor hit two home runs and drove in five runs. Juan Soto had a notably quiet series in terms of walks. Home runs were also hit by AJ Ewing and Carson Benge.
