New York Mets infielder Marcus Semien has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hip flexor strain. The move comes one day after the team welcomed back shortstop Francisco Lindor from his own injured list stint.

Ronny Mauricio has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to fill Semien's roster spot. Reliever Daniel Duarte was also recalled from Syracuse. Jonathan Pintaro, who pitched in a doubleheader game on Wednesday, was optioned back to Syracuse.

Semien has struggled offensively this season, batting .214 with a .613 OPS. During the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs, Semien committed two errors.
